The Elizabeth Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 93-29 loss at the hands of Marquez. Elizabeth has not had much luck with Marquez recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Lamont White Jr was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points along with six assists and six rebounds for Marquez. White Jr has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Elyjah Staples, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Elizabeth bumped their record down to 2-4 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Marquez, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-5.
Elizabeth will be playing at home against Torres at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Torres is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Marquez, they will head out on the road to face off against Sotomayor at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Sotomayor is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
