Basketball Recap: Curry's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Curry can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They secured a 28-22 W over the Sumiton Christian Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Yellowjackets: when they faced off against the Eagles back in November of 2025, they had to take a 67-57 defeat.

Curry was led to victory by Brayden McNeal and Jd Sickles. McNeal posted four points and nine rebounds, while Sickles scored four points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave McNeal a new career-high in assists (two). Noah Noles also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Curry's win bumped their record up to 2-14. As for Sumiton Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Curry and Dora will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. As for Sumiton Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cullman Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
