Siegel is a perfect 10-0 against Stewarts Creek since September of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Among those leading the charge was Baylor Burnett, who had eight digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September of 2024. Eliana Harvel also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
They weren't the only good servers: Siegel was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Stewarts Creek came up short against Warren County on Thursday and fell 3-1.
While Stewarts Creek ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-19, 22-25, 25-22.
Siegel's win bumped their record up to 18-14. As for Stewarts Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.
Siegel was able to grind out a solid victory over Stewarts Creek when the teams last played back in August of 2024, winning 2-0. Do the Stars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
