The Beloit Trojans put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Riley County 59-21 at home. Beloit might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four matches by 29 points or more this season.
Beloit was led to victory by Bryce Beisner and Eli Johnson. Beisner dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds, while Johnson scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Johnson scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joel Rexroat, who scored seven points.
Beloit pushed their record up to 7-0 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.9 points per game. As for Riley County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Beloit will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hoisington at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Riley County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rossville on January 5, 2024.
