Upper Scioto Valley let Wyatt Davis and Mason Thompson run wild. Davis got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, five runs, and two RBI, while Thompson went 3-for-4 with six RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Waynesfield-Goshen has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Upper Scioto Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Waynesfield-Goshen couldn't quite finish off Upper Scioto Valley when the teams last played on Thursday and fell 7-5. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
