Lake City has gone 9-1 against Post Falls recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Timberwolves will look to defend their home field against the Trojans at 12:00 p.m. Lake City is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.2 runs per game this season.
Lake City took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Timberlake 15-1. The Timberwolves haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Madalynn Blood was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Layla Gugino, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Lopez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Lake City was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. They are 11-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Post Falls came out on top against Sandpoint on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Trojans took their game against the Bulldogs 9-4.
Rylan Morrison spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.
At the plate, McKenna Zimmerman and Jaya Felix did most of the damage at the plate: Zimmerman went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Felix went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one double.
Post Falls is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Lake City, their win bumped their record up to 15-7-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Saturday. Lake City hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.1 home runs per game. However, it's not like Post Falls struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
