The Chattahoochee Cougars will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Greater Atlanta Christian Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Greater Atlanta Christian took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Chattahoochee, who comes in off a win.
Chattahoochee posted their biggest victory since December 9, 2023 on Tuesday. They put the hurt on North Springs with a sharp 51-31 victory. Given Chattahoochee's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 184th, while North Springs is ranked 412th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Riley Berninger continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklinne Dorr, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Greater Atlanta Christian came up short against Athens Academy on Monday and fell 55-47.
Chattahoochee pushed their record up to 14-5 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Greater Atlanta Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.
Chattahoochee beat Greater Atlanta Christian 41-32 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will Chattahoochee repeat their success, or does Greater Atlanta Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
