Catholic Central has gone a perfect 5-0 against Oak Glen recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Crusaders will square off against the Golden Bears at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Catholic Central not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since September 28, 2024 (when they won 48-0). They blew past Belpre, posting a 51-18 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Crusaders needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

It was another big night for Matthew Sprochi, who rushed for 67 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 115 yards and two TDs on perfect 5-for-5 passing. Those 115 passing yards gave him a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Oak Glen got themselves on the board against Buckeye Local on Friday, but Buckeye Local never followed suit. They strolled past the Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 17-0. Given the Golden Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 61st in West Virginia, while the Panthers are ranked 630th in Ohio) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Logan Murray and Jacob Everett. Murray rushed for 178 yards and one score while picking up 11.1 yards per carry while Everett rushed for 170 yards.
Oak Glen was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 383 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Catholic Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.3 points over those games. As for Oak Glen, their record is now 4-1.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Catholic Central has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 190 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Oak Glen struggles in that department as they've been averaging 243.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Catholic Central against Oak Glen in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 35-7 win. In that matchup, the Crusaders amassed a halftime lead of 28-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
