It was a good run, but Van Buren unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against the East Prairie Eagles, falling 11-5. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Van Buren's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for East Prairie, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-6.

Van Buren wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-4 victory against Oran on the 26th. As for East Prairie, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-8 defeat against Clearwater on the 26th.
