The Ore City Rebels pushed their score all the way to 66 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 77-66 to Big Sandy. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ore City in their matchups with Big Sandy: they've now lost six in a row.
Big Sandy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trey Coleman, who shot 5-for-10 from deep and dropped a double-double on 30 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Coleman has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Malijah Francis, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten steals.
Ore City has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Big Sandy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-13.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Union Grove the next time they take the court. Ore City will head out to face Union Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Big Sandy will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
