Baseball Recap: Nashville Christian's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Nashville Christian had lost ten games straight , but after bumping their record up to 6-12 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against East Nashville Magnet by a score of 5-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Nashville Christian also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

As for East Nashville Magnet, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-8. They were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the four contests prior), but Nashville Christian's pitchers proved too tough.

For East Nashville Magnet's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chauncey Anthony, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Anthony is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Coming up, Nashville Christian is taking a road trip to face off against Mount Juliet Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Nashville Magnet, they will challenge Whites Creek at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cobras have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season.
