The Cypress Christian Warriors lost against the Cornerstone Christian Warriors back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Cypress Christian suffered a tough 63-37 defeat at the hands of the Warriors. While losing is never fun, Cypress Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 742nd, while the Warriors are ranked 177th).
Cornerstone Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kiana Henning out in front who scored 17 points along with six steals and five assists. Henning is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Adah Snead, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Cypress Christian dropped their record down to 5-5 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Cornerstone Christian, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 26-9.
Cypress Christian will be playing at home against the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cornerstone Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against the Crimson Knights at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
