Columbus lost against Brookstone back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Thursday. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Cougars by a score of  2-1. The Blue Devils' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

 Keira Parsons paced Columbus' offense, picking up ten kills. Parsons got some help from  Emma Cicora and her 26 assists. Cicora also made an impact serving:  she shared the team lead in aces with  Jaslyn Watts, racking up two apiece.
Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Brookstone, their victory bumped their record up to 16-5.
 Columbus didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  2-0  win against Sumter County on the 16th. As for Brookstone, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  contest,  a  2-0  victory against Harris County on the 11th.
