Cliffside Park's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jerelz Ortiz, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ken Hunter, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Ridgefield Park pushed their record up to 11-12 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Cliffside Park, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgefield Park won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Waldwick at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. As for Cliffside Park, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dumont at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
