The Carolina Forest Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 48-39 to Socastee. Carolina Forest was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Socastee apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Despite the loss, Carolina Forest saw an underclassman step up: Nick Zincone scored 13 points along with five steals. Zincone hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Daniel Allen was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Carolina Forest struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Carolina Forest bumped their record down to 4-12 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Socastee, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Carolina Forest will be playing in front of their home fans against St. James at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. James has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 179 points over their last three games. As for Socastee, they will head out on the road to face off against Sumter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
