Bowie is 10-0 against Northwestern since December of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Bowie Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Northwestern Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Bowie comes in on seven and Northwestern on three.
Bowie meant business on Thursday, getting buckets from all over the court against a Panthers squad that has allowed just 30 points per contest. Bowie strolled past Parkdale with points to spare, taking the game 62-46. Winning is a bit easier when you make five more threes than your opponent, as Bowie did.
Bowie relied on the efforts of Nylah Jennings, who scored 17 points along with five assists and five rebounds, and Amira Kittles, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points and 1 assist. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kittles has scored all season. Sanaa Blunt was another key contributor, scoring four points.
Meanwhile, Northwestern didn't have too much trouble with Bladensburg at home on Thursday as they won 46-28.
Bowie's victory bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Northwestern, their win bumped their record up to 8-11.
Everything came up roses for Bowie against Northwestern in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 66-12 win. Will Bowie repeat their success, or does Northwestern have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
