Burlington City made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,884 from 12,461. The advance stemmed from a 38-18 victory over Ewing last week.
The Blue Devils led West Jersey - Freedom in scoring this week after putting up 38 points on the Blue Devils.
Palmyra's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Zach Berry threw for 175 and one touchdown and Caliph Wright had 84 yards receiving. On the ground Wright chipped in 49 yards. Tai Belford helped Palmyra's passing attack out by catching four balls for 42 yards.
Belford made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Panthers fell to Clayton. The 5-foot-8 junior pulled down one interception.
Thanks to the talents of Steve Strobel and Tyler Nicolo Maple Shade has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Strobel leads the league in passing with 997 yards, while Nicolo has rushed for 755 yards this season. Palmyra's Wright leads the league in receiving yards with 539 on 31 catches.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Florence Township Memorial takes on Burlington City. At the moment, the Flashes are in first, while Tony Sacca's team is in fourth.
There should be lots of points scored when New Egypt and the Wildcats face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Warriors comes in having scored 129 this season, while Maple Shade has scored 189.
