Weatherford fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Boswell on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 4-2. The Kangaroos' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Jett Vindiola was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season.

Weatherford's loss dropped their record down to 13-13-1. As for Boswell, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 23-3.

While Weatherford had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
