The Corinth Holders Pirates''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Southeast Raleigh by a score of 24-21. Corinth Holders lost against Southeast Raleigh in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 28-20 score last time.
Although Corinth Holders took the loss, they still got scores from Jacob Cline and Anton Pearce.
Corinth Holders' defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-1 Clayton (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 61.1% over those games). As for Southeast Raleigh, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
Corinth Holders will head out on the road to face off against Garner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Garner presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Corinth Holders in North Carolina (Garner is ranked 78th, while Corinth Holders is ranked 216th). As for Southeast Raleigh, they will be playing at home against South Garner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
