Overbrook is 7-0 against Schalick since February of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. Both teams will face off at 5:30 p.m. on February 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Overbrook will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Last Tuesday, Overbrook strolled past Woodstown with points to spare, taking the game 52-35. Given Overbrook's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Woodstown is ranked 271st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Schalick came up short against Penns Grove on Tuesday and fell 53-45. Schalick has not had much luck with Penns Grove recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Overbrook is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Schalick, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.
Everything came up roses for Overbrook against Schalick when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 58-31 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Overbrook since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
