The Joaquin Rams were the 69-54 winner over the West Rusk Raiders when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. Joaquin took a 54-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Rusk on Tuesday.
Noah Murphy was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. Ty Harper was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Joaquin has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for West Rusk, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Joaquin is on the road again on Thursday and play against Martins Mill at 10:20 a.m. on December 14th. Martins Mill will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak. As for West Rusk, they will head out on the road to face off against Hawkins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hawkins presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West Rusk in Texas (Hawkins is ranked 161st, while West Rusk is ranked 1141st).
