You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Valencia on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Canyon Cowboys out of the water with a 55-3 final score. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won four contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Brian Bonner had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 94 yards and a pair of TDs on only six carries. Brady Bretthauer was another key player, throwing for 67 yards and two touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Valencia was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 214 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 175 rushing yards in nine consecutive games dating back to last season.

Valencia's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Canyon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Looking ahead, Valencia will venture away from home to take on Golden Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Canyon, they will welcome Hart at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Cowboys surely won't give up without a fight.
