On Friday Middle College take on Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering at Fairgrounds Stadium at 7:00 PM. Both of those teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
After a dominant win in their game two weeks ago, Middle College were humbled last Friday. They were given a punishing 12-65 loss at the hands of South Gibson. Middle College got a solid performance out of sophomore Joyner Stephens, who rushed for 72 yards and 1 touchdown; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 38 points the game before, Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering faltered in their match last Friday. They were completely outmatched, falling 0-42 to Tipton-Rosemark Academy. Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-35.
