Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up nine more assists than your opponent, a fact the California Lutheran C-Hawks proved on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 62-45 win over Temecula Prep. California Lutheran pushed the score to 49-29 by the end of the third, a deficit the Patriots cut but never quite recovered from.

Gavin MacNeill and J.T. Rogers certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. MacNeill scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Rogers scored 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that MacNeill scored 15 or more points. Parker Johnson was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds.
California Lutheran's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Temecula Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. California Lutheran won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Hamilton is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Temecula Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolves at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully San Jacinto Valley Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
