Falcon had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. On the hitting side, Nash Holtz was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, four stolen bases, and six RBI. He continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. Jacob Muser also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.
Falcon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .758. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mitchell only posted an OBP of .381.
Falcon's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Mitchell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
