Basketball Recap: Rowen Haynes and Braeden Raeper Secure Win for Aurora Christian Academy

Aurora Christian Academy waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Riverview Bible Baptist Christian Eagles, sneaking past 46-43. That's more bragging rights for the Arrows, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Leading Aurora Christian Academy to victory were Braeden Raeper and Rowen Haynes. Raeper dropped a double-double on 12 points and 21 boards, while Haynes posted 16 points. The dominant performance also gave Raeper a new career-high in blocks (six). Another player making a difference was Andrew Sweeney, who scored six points and four steals.

Aurora Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Riverview Bible Baptist Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
