The Clinton Cardinals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. The contest between them and Oak Grove wasn't particularly close, with Clinton falling 64-45. Clinton has struggled against Oak Grove recently, as their game on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Oak Grove found their leader in underclassman Phillip Nadeau, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Nadeau also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Maurkalip Riley, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Clinton dropped their record down to 4-17 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Oak Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Harrisonville the next time they take the court. Oak Grove will head out to face Harrisonville at 7:15 p.m. on Monday, while Clinton will host them at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
