Monadnock extended the longest winning streak in Division V this week by beating Sanborn Regional, 32-7. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Somersworth was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in the league. Earlier in the week, the Toppers defeated Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough Academy 60-25.
Monadnock's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Huskies feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Will Kitterman has thrown for 257 yards and three touchdowns this season, while DJ Lotito has 12 catches for 127 yards. Dylan Lane leads the league in rushing with 501 yards.
The marquee game in Division V this week will be the clash between Monadnock and Kearsarge. Linwood Patdnode's team comes into the matchup ranked 14th in the state, while the Cougars ranks 19th.
Somersworth took down the Lakers 60-25 last week, the largest margin of any game.
