With a playoff win on the line, Grandview rose to the challenge  on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past the Poudre Impalas  2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Wolves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

 Josiah Giron looked comfortable as he  struck out six batters over  3.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits (and only one walk). Those  six  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high.
 On the hitting side, Grandview saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Ethan Wachsmann, who  went 1-for-3 with one  home run.  Kyler Vaughn was another,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with one  run.
Grandview pushed their record up to 20-4 with the  win, which was their sixth straight  at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.33 runs across that stretch. As for Poudre, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-12.
 Grandview wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  matchup,  a  15-2  victory against Pueblo West on the 17th. Poudre does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
