Violet Jewell, Morning Star Academy's leading rebounder, solidified her role on Monday. Jewell did her part (and then some), going 10 for 17 on her way to 21 points in addition to seven rebounds and four blocks for the 'W'. She has been hot, having posted two or more blocks the last five times she's played.

Jewell and Morning Star Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Tri-State Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Huskies, probably because Jewell had a solid game then too: she posted two points and six boards.
