Carlmont got a massive performance out of Daniella Smit, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Smit has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Stiefel, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two doubles.
Carlmont hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive matchups.
Carlmont's record is now 7-18. As for San Mateo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-9 record this season.
