The Front Range Baptist Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Loveland Classical on the road and fell 51-17. Front Range Baptist was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.
Loveland Classical's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alethia Thye, who scored 19 points along with two steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Thye has scored at least a third of Loveland Classical's points. Kaelyn Doan was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven steals.
Front Range Baptist has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Loveland Classical, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Front Range Baptist and the Spartans will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Denver Waldorf focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Tuesday. As for Loveland Classical, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Timberwolves at 5:00 p.m. on January 24th. Twin Peaks Charter Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
