Basketball Recap: Bryleigh Boggs and Kaitlynn Honeycutt Secure Win for Wabash

Wabash won the last time they faced Northfield and things went their way on Friday too. The Wabash Apaches walked away with a 54-46 win over the Northfield Norsemen. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Apaches.

Wabash was led to victory by Kaitlynn Honeycutt and Bryleigh Boggs. Honeycutt went 9 of 16 on her way to 20 points and seven rebounds, while Boggs dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. Boggs is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Daughtry, who posted nine points and six rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Northfield lost, don't look at Elli Baker. Despite the final result, she went 9 of 16 on her way to 22 points and eight rebounds. Emily Miller was another key player, putting up seven points and eight rebounds.

Wabash's record now sits at 10-3. As for Northfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wabash and Manchester will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Northfield, they will welcome South Adams at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
