The Clever Blue Jays will head out to face off against the Cassville Wildcats at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Clever has three straight wins, Cassville has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Clever came out on top against Pierce City on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run sixth inning. The Blue Jays blew past the Eagles 12-2. The Blue Jays might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

Owen Graaf made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Graaf was even better at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.3 stolen bases per game.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Logan Vaught-Green, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs. Dyllan Martin was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Clever always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. The last time their OBP was this high was back in May of 2025.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Cassville duked it out with Hollister on Friday. The Wildcats came up short against the Tigers, falling 14-4. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly ten runs.
Masin Bryan made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs.
Clever's record now sits at 16-10. As for Cassville, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-21-1.
Clever got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March against Cassville by a conclusive 7-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Jays since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
