Softball Recap: Brentwood Academy Snags Eighth Victory in Last Nine Games

There's no place like home for Brentwood Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Harpeth Hall Honeybears on Wednesday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.

Brentwood Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Harpeth Hall, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Brentwood Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe Lipscomb Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 2.1, the Mustangs 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Harpeth Hall will take on rival Father Ryan at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
