St. Joseph Regional's Marcus Jemison recorded the longest rushing play in Big North - United this season in his game against Wayne Hills last week. Jemison ran for 69 yards on the play and finished with 96 on the day as his team beat the Patriots.
Paramus Catholic extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Ridgewood, 42-10. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Jonathan Germano put up the best numbers through the air as Bergen Catholic defeated Passaic County Tech. He finished with a total of 18 completions for 350 yards and five touchdowns. Germano's favorite target this week was J.J. Kulcsar, who caught four passes for 106 yards.
Jabrill Peppers was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 139 yards on 21 carries as Paramus Catholic topped Wayne Hills. Keyon Washington also contributed to the rushing game with 38 yards on the ground.
Jeune was the best wideout in Big North - United this week as Tony Karcich's team beat Chris Olsen's team. Jeune tallied four receptions for 153 yards. Mark Fossati helped St. Joseph Regional's passing attack out by catching one ball for 25 yards.
Bergen Catholic's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Crusaders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Germano has thrown for 1283 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, while Kulcsar has 21 catches for 439 yards. James Dawson leads the league in rushing with 477 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Crusaders and DePaul. Bergen Catholic enters the game ranked second in the state, while the Spartans ranks 21st.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Nunzio Campanile's team takes on DePaul. The Crusaders' offense has scored 200 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while John Mckenna's team has allowed only 130 on the year.
Two highly touted recruits will be in the spotlight when Bergen Catholic and the Spartans meet this week. The Crusaders features well-regarded freshman Jarrett Guarantano while DePaul has Terrell Vassell, a sought after defensive back.
Bergen Catholic took down the Bulldogs 62-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. Germano in the win.
