Wings Academy had won five straight home games dating back to last season and JJ ADDISON did his part to make it six on Saturday. The Wings walked away with a 67-56 win over the Stevenson Ambassadors for which the team can thank ADDISON, who shot 5-for-7 from beyond the arc and almost dropped a double-double with 27 points and nine rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 46.8% field goal percentage.
The team also got some help courtesy of FABIAN JIMBO, who posted six points in addition to 12 boards and three blocks. Wings Academy is undefeated when JIMBO posts ten or more rebounds, but 1-2 otherwise.
Wings Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Stevenson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Wings Academy has already played their next game, a 57-55 defeat against Monroe Campus on the 15th. As for Stevenson, they will be home for the holidays to greet John F. Kennedy Campus on Saturday.
