The Howell Highlanders are on the road again  on Wednesday to play the Lakeland Eagles at 4:00  p.m. Lakeland took a loss in their last  contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Howell, who comes in off a win.
 Howell's pitching crew heads into the  game  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Monday. They put the hurt on Belleville with a sharp  9-0 win.
  Brooke Keller made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run over four innings pitched. Keller was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Amelia Elsey was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Jada Challiss, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-2.
 Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought  matchup, but Lakeland had to settle for  an  8-7 defeat against Walled Lake Northern on Wednesday. Lakeland has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Howell's victory was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 14-14-1. As for Lakeland, their loss dropped their record down to 24-9.
 Howell came up short against Lakeland when the teams last played  back in May of 2023, falling  13-8. Can Howell avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
