Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for South Vermillion

South Vermillion extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 12-7 in the process. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Attica Red Ramblers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-6 on Monday.

Bryson Lemmons was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He has become a key player for South Vermillion: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 6-7 otherwise. Mason Larson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

As for Attica, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12-1 record this season. Their defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

On Attica's side, Dane Goris was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Jayce Larson was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

South Vermillion has already played their next match, an 8-4 loss against Riverton Parke on the 14th. As for Attica, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-1 defeat against Cissna Park on the 15th.
