Camden Hills hasn't had much luck against Oxford Hills recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Windjammers will venture away from home to take on the Vikings at 2:00 p.m. Camden Hills is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.
Camden Hills barely beat Mt. Ararat the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Windjammers blew past the Eagles 9-3 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Windjammers, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Thea Laukka and Charlotte McGreevy made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Laukka didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, McGreevy pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. At the plate, Laukka went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI, while McGreevy went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave Laukka a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Audrey Strong, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Oxford Hills entered their tilt with Skowhegan on Friday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They never let the River Hawks get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. Surprisingly, this marked the Vikings' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
Oxford Hills' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Camden Hills, their record now sits at 10-4.
Camden Hills came up short against Oxford Hills when the teams last played back in May of 2024, falling 3-0. Can the Windjammers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
