The Ridgecroft Rams were the  51-32 winner over the Kenston Forest Kavaliers when they last played one another  back in January of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Ridgecroft fell  61-50 to Kenston Forest on Saturday.
 Despite the  loss, Ridgecroft had strong showings from  Antron Gray, who  scored 18 points along with 5  assists, and  Nacir Lewis, who  scored 12 points along with 7  rebounds. Gray scored a full 36% of Ridgecroft's points, the third time in a row he's  earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was  Bill Vaughan, who  scored 3 points along with 12  rebounds.
  Dayton Williams Jr was  his usual excellent self,  scoring 24 points along with 8  steals and 5  rebounds for Kenston Forest. The  matchup was  Williams Jr's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Anderson Allen, who  scored 23 points along with 8  rebounds.
 Ridgecroft's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Kenston Forest, their win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 7-1.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgecroft will  challenge Halifax Academy at 7:30  p.m.  on Monday. Halifax Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 418th, while Ridgecroft is ranked 130th). Kenston Forest will have some time to savor their  win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot at 7:00  p.m.  on January 2, 2024.
