The Ramona Convent Tigers will challenge the Granite Hills Cougars at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Ramona Convent is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past Flintridge Prep 12-2. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Madison Garcia was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Ramona Convent got a massive performance out of Citlali Garcia, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Chloe Gonzalez was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Ramona Convent kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March.
Meanwhile, Granite Hills entered their tilt with Santa Rosa Academy on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Rangers with a sharp 17-11 victory.
Like Ramona Convent, Granite Hills also got a great game from a two-way player: Britney Zuniga. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Zuniga was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs.
In other batting news, Emily Marks was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Mylie Shepard, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three doubles, and three RBI.
Ramona Convent's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 17-9. As for Granite Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 16-7.
Saturday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Ramona Convent hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .419. However, it's not like Granite Hills struggles in that department as they've averaged .489. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
