After soaring to 66 points the game before, the Sandalwood Saints were a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Providence School, falling 66-22. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sandalwood has scored all season.
Providence School was led to victory by Chris Arias and Brady Patterson. Arias scored 14 points, while Patterson scored 13 points along with four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Stallings, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Sandalwood's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Providence School, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Sandalwood will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tocoi Creek at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Providence School and Lake Highland Prep will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Lake Highland Prep is ranked 40th, while Providence School is ranked 55th).
