Lighthouse Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Ellie mae Winders, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jane Holdeman, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Cannelton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kylie Anastasiades, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaliyah Little, who scored nine points.
Cannelton struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Lighthouse Christian Academy pulled down 12 offensive rebounds.
Lighthouse Christian Academy pushed their record up to 12-8 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36 points. As for Cannelton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.
