The BASIS - Scottsdale Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the ASU Prep Sun Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for BASIS - Scottsdale and four for the Sun Devils.
Last Thursday, BASIS - Scottsdale came up short against the Heroes and fell 49-36.
Despite their loss, BASIS - Scottsdale saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Nithish Prakash, who scored eight points along with seven steals, was perhaps the best of all. Prakash hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Blake Tropper was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, ASU Prep took a serious blow against the Storm on Thursday, falling 73-34. While losing is never fun, ASU Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 148th, while the Storm are ranked 14th).
BASIS - Scottsdale's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for ASU Prep, their defeat was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-12.
BASIS - Scottsdale strolled past the Sun Devils in their previous matchup back in November of 2018 by a score of 48-29. Will BASIS - Scottsdale repeat their success, or do the Sun Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
