The biggest upset of the week belonged to Southern McLean [Washburn/Wilton/Wing], who took down 38th ranked New Salem/Glen Ullin, 12-8.
Killdeer/Halliday was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fourth in A Region 4. The Cowboys defeated Grant County/Flasher 28-8 earlier in the week.
Grant County/Flasher's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Coyotes feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Taylor Krenz has thrown for 511 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Zackary Schmidt has 13 catches for 228 yards. Bailey Stewart leads the league in rushing with 377 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Coyotes take on Standing Rock/Selfridge. Grant County/Flasher's offense has racked up 106 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Warriors have allowed only 186 on the year.
A big matchup in A Region 4 this week will be when Killdeer/Halliday takes on Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart]. As it stands, Chuck Wagner's team is in fourth, while the Cougars are in first.
Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart] extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Standing Rock/Selfridge, 56-10. The win marks fifth in a row for the Dave Hendrickson's team.
