Downers Grove North had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Downers Grove South Mustangs a 3-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Downers Grove North were the better team in the second half.

Downers Grove North's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four games. As for Downers Grove South, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Downers Grove North will head out to take on Hinsdale Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hinsdale Central's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Downers Grove South, they will venture away from home to face off against Leyden at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
