Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Dakota Cougars, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a 17-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chippewa Valley on Friday. Dakota's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Jadon Ford threw for 149 yards on only ten passes. Trent Morin was his top target, picking up 73 receiving yards. On the ground, Austin Tuchowski gained 58 total yards and a touchdown.
Dakota's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Chippewa Valley, their win was their fourth straight at home , which pushed their record up to 8-2.
Dakota does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Chippewa Valley has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Southfield Arts & Tech at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Michigan (Southfield Arts & Tech is ranked 15th, while Chippewa Valley is ranked 12th).
