Logan Zynn was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out eight over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Pequea Valley is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-7 otherwise. Zynn was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Coleston Temple was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Trevor Vollmer, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Lancaster Catholic's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of Columbia by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Crusaders have suffered since April 12, 2024.
