It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the P.K. Yonge Blue Wave had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Tornadoes by a score of 52-44. With that victory, P.K. Yonge brought their scoring average up to 50 points per game.
P.K. Yonge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ashlyn Young out in front who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Young is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Reniyah Clark, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
P.K. Yonge is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Bradford, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.
P.K. Yonge will square off against Trinity Catholic at TBD on Friday. Hopefully Trinity Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 last Friday. Bradford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
